Dear; BMCC Students.

I felt very good with the students at BMCC. I think they are very nice and I liked to share time with them. I learned a lot about these students, I could see that they are very smart and happy people.
The trip to the museum was a really good experience for me. There I learned a lot about the Indian culture and I saw many interesting painting. The painting that I liked the most was about a poor woman who was waiting for her husband. She was worry and her face reflected her sadness.

I would like to meet Rivkas`s class again because they are very friendly and I would like to share more time with them.

Sincerely: Martina.

Ancient Near Eastern Art

In the Ancient Near Eastern Art you can find different collections. For instance the first objects from the ancient Near East to enter the Metropolitan's collection—cuneiform tablets and stamp and cylinder seals—were acquired in the late nineteenth century. The department's collection has been acquired by gift, by purchase, and by participation in archaeological excavations at, for example, Nippur, Nimrud, and Ctesiphon in Iraq and at Hasanlu, Yarim Tepe, and Qasr-i Abu Nasr in Iran.

American Arts

The collection of American decorative arts at the Metropolitan Museum extends in date from the late seventeenth to the early twentieth century and includes approximately 12,000 examples of furniture, silver, glass, pewter, ceramics, and textiles. Today the collection are objects made on American soil from the early colonial period, reflecting the settlers' keen desire to reproduce as faithfully as possible the material world they had left behind in England, Holland, and other homelands.
The Metropolitan's Department of American Decorative Arts was established in 1934, splitting off from a more generalized department of decorative arts, and the Department of American Paintings and Sculpture followed fourteen years later. for more info www.metmuseum.org

The national sport in the Dominican Republic is basaball. The Domininican Republic is one of the carribean Islands which has more school to teach young children to play baseball. In the United Stated there a lot of Dominican basaball players, such as David Ortiz ,Many Ramirez ,and many more. My favority player is David Ortiz because every time he take the bat the people begin to scream . People know this man is strong and when he is in the home play ,it is possible that he will send the ball to the street.
